Thoughts from listening to today's radio program on the way to church:
When my wife and I were married 41 years ago, our minister made an excellent statement during our ceremony:
"Today is a new beginning for you, and you will have many more new beginnings in your life together. You will have fewer worries and waves in your marriage if you will remember this truth:

"Today is a new beginning for you, and you will have many more new beginnings in your life together. You will have fewer worries and waves in your marriage if you will remember this truth:
In the beginning....God. In the beginning of this marriage...God. In the beginning of the life of your children...God. In the beginning of their adulthood...God. In the beginning of a new job...God. In the beginning of living in a new neighborhood...God."
John Lennox - RZIM
Bright youth and snow crowned age,
Strong men and maidens meek,
Raise high your free, exultant song,
God’s wondrous praises speak.
Strong men and maidens meek,
Raise high your free, exultant song,
God’s wondrous praises speak.
With voice as full and strong
As ocean’s surging praise,
Send forth the hymns our fathers loved,
The psalms of ancient days.
As ocean’s surging praise,
Send forth the hymns our fathers loved,
The psalms of ancient days.
Praise Him Who reigns on high,
The Lord Whom we adore,
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost,
One God forevermore.
The Lord Whom we adore,
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost,
One God forevermore.
Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice,
Give thanks and sing.
Sunday evening was spent at a friends' home, with good food, great fellowship, and singing.
